Color temperature is a characteristic of visible light that has important applications in lighting, photography, videography, publishing, and other fields. The color temperature of a light source is determined by comparing its chromaticity with that of an ideal black-body radiator. The temperature (usually measured in kelvins (K)) at which the heated black-body radiator matches the color of the light source is that source's color temperature; for a black body source, it is directly related to Planck's law and Wien's displacement law.

Counterintuitively, higher color temperatures (5000 K or more) are "cool" (green-blue) colors, and lower color temperatures (2700-3000 K) "warm" (yellow-red) colors.

Exquisite color and lighting in these shots. You draw the viewer in to the mood of the scene and place. It feels like I am in the mind of the photographer and the soul of the place. Great talent! Thanks!

Was looking for Marfa shots and found this space . . . so amazing. I really need a print of this last shot; it sums up so much of what I try to explain to people about the place.
Y'all are awesome; if you made a book of your experiences, I'd buy it!

Interesting series of images. I especially like to last one - what a bold concept! I'd never have had the vision to create or the courage to post that image. Well done.

The memories we made around the frozen margarita's (of which we might have had too many), that glowing orange fire, and the rickety wooden table will not soon fade. The heartfelt laughter we shared, the delicious food we enjoyed and the friendships that were forged will forever be remembered.

The friends I made beneath these lights made my life sweeter and my life brighter!

Marfa was about being in the center of beautiful nowhere... and driving for hours and hours to get there.  Going hundreds of miles without seeing a single car, person, building...  then, out of nowhere, there is a cemetery.  Not like one I've seen before... it was beautiful in the most simple, hand touched & serene way.  So many graves marked only with piled rocks and hand-crafted crosses of pipe or weathered wood.  Sitting amongst them,  you could feel the presence & weight of the people that worked so hard to lay their loved ones to rest on a hillside in the beautiful desert land.  It was peace...
