I didn't take a tripod to Marfa but I did take a steady hand and a camera that performs under VERY high ISO settings. The last night we were in Marfa we headed out to find the Marfa lights and see if we could spot them a little closer than before. A pitch black drive down a VERY dirt road turned up more than the Marfa lights, we saw an incredible sky full of more stars then I ever knew existed and those cloudy looking spots in the shot below, that's the Milky Way!
